Northants Parkinson’s People

On the 14th October 2023 as part off the Overstone Working Party Day a Coffee Morning was held in support of Northants Parkinson’s People (NPP). I am very pleased to report £175 was raised to support this charity. A big thank you to all the people that attended, donated cakes and supported the raffle.

Richard Clift an Overstone SASU Member and Chair of the NPP has sent his thanks on behalf of the registered members of NPP which now totals just under 400 of which 34 are young members under the age of 40/50, and stated it is very much appreciated.

The NPP started in 2019 and provides support not only for those affected by Parkinson’s but also their families and carers. Whilst the money raised goes towards professional support and the occasional outing, the NPP greatest contribution is the comradery and the freedom to discuss the best ways to slow the effects of Parkinson’s in daily life.
